What was done and where?
Kitchen backsplash and shower tiling in a private home in Cameron Park.
What challenge did we solve?
The client had previously hired another team to tile the shower walls — but the result was extremely uneven. We offered to redo the crooked section, but the client declined due to budget limitations. He recognized the mistake, but hoped our work could somehow compensate for the previous team’s error — unfortunately, that’s not how it works.
We decided not to touch the crooked part and focused on executing our portion with clean, straight lines. We also installed the shower tiles in a herringbone pattern — a technically challenging style that many tilers avoid due to its complexity. The misaligned wall made this even more difficult, but we were able to pull it off cleanly. For the kitchen backsplash, we used small-format tiles, which required extra skill and precision to level the surface before installation.
